GardenScenes, part 2
The Newest Gardens
Starting over again at a new address in Ellis Hollow -- flat, not quite so private, more rural in feeling. Already here: two huge Norway maples, one large Norway spruce, big lilacs, and a small strip of ornamental garden around the patio. The soil is not "rocky soil"; rather, it is "dirty rock"!!

Q: what do you do with all the rock recovered from backyard excavations in an ancient river bed? |
A: you build rock garden walks, this one leading from kitchen-door patio to lawn; |
... and you also edge all the beds with rocks |
