"Women Don't Grow Older, Just a Deeper Shade of Red"

This woven-strip collage was my synthesis of many innovative quiltmaking techniques about which I had read as I persued a new direction in my work. The title is a line from a haunting song by singer/songwriter Melissa Manchester. This autobiographical quilt allowed me to track the important "threads" through my life in a powerful visual manner.
